You may claim a tax refund if you have made a purchase of at least $100 (including GST) in a single invoice or receipt at selected FairPrice and Unity stores. Alternatively, you may accumulate up to 3 same-day receipts or invoices from different FairPrice or Unity stores bearing the same GST registration number (only applicable to selected outlets found in the table below).
You must:
- Be aged 16 and above
- Present your original passport either with a valid social visit stamp or a valid Electronic Visit Pass (e-Pass) sent digitally through email in person in-store
- Depart with the purchases via Changi Airport or Seletar Airport within 2 months of the purchase date (indicated in the receipt issued to you)
The tax refund can be claimed through the following methods:
- The Global Blue - Shop Tax Free mobile app: Can only be done in Changi Airport, while connected to the Changi Airport WiFi hotspot. For more information, visit the GlobalBlue website here.
- Electronic Tourist Refund Scheme (eTRS) self-help kiosks at both Changi and Seletar Airport.
