Just Wine Club (JWC) Terms and Conditions

The Just Wine Club (“JWC” or “JWC membership”) is owned and operated by NTUC FairPrice Co-operative Limited (“FairPrice”, “us”, “we” or “our”). By agreeing to join the JWC Programme, you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("JWC T&Cs”).

These JWC T&Cs are supplemental to the overarching FairPrice Terms & Conditions (“FPG T&Cs”), which govern your general use of the FairPrice services and FairPrice account. In these JWC T&Cs:

  • The Just Wine Club Member Hub on the FairPrice website or mobile application shall be referred to as the “JWC Member Hub”.
  • The FairPrice Group mobile application account shall be referred to as the “FPG app”.

In the event of any inconsistency between these JWC T&Cs and the general FPG T&Cs, these JWC T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency regarding the JWC Programme.

A. ELIGIBILITY, REGISTRATION AND RENEWAL

  1. Eligibility Requirements: To be a member of the JWC Programme (“JWC Member”), you must:

  • Hold an existing valid account with FairPrice Online at https://www.fairprice.com.sg/;
  • Be an existing member of the Link Rewards Programme; and
  • Be aged eighteen (18) years or above. Under the Liquor Control (Supply and Consumption) Act of Singapore, it is an offence for persons under the age of 18 to purchase alcohol.

  1. Account holders of FairPrice Shop for Business are not eligible for JWC membership and benefits. JWC membership benefits are strictly personal to the account holder, non-transferable, and not applicable for corporate purchases.

  2. Membership fees for JWC Programme are at the prevailing rate displayed at the point of registration. FairPrice may at any time at its sole discretion, revise the membership fees.

You may pay your JWC membership fee in full or in part using your accumulated Linkpoints. Any remaining balance must be paid using an eligible credit card, debit card, or accepted payment method linked to your FPG App account. 

  1. Cancellation and Auto-Renewal:

  • JWC membership automatically renews for a subsequent term unless cancelled prior to your next billing date. You can disable auto-renewal by cancelling your JWC membership.
  • We will send you a notification via email at least seven (7) days prior to your renewal date to remind you of the upcoming auto-renewal charge.
  • To manage or cancel your membership, navigate to the 'Memberships' section of the JWC Member Hub.
  • Upon renewal, you authorize us to collect the prevailing membership fee using the credit card, debit card, or other eligible payment method (including redemption of Linkpoints, where enabled and applicable) linked to your FPG App account. 
  • Linkpoints may only be redeemed and applied toward the initial sign-up for a JWC membership. Linkpoints cannot be used, redeemed, or applied toward recurring auto-renewal payments. All auto-renewals will be processed using the standard payment method on file. 

  1. If payment fails on the renewal date, your JWC membership will be terminated immediately and all associated benefits will become invalid. Auto-renewal will not re-attempt payment following a failed transaction. To regain access to JWC membership benefits, you must submit a new membership application. 

  2. By continuing to use FairPrice Online or in-store services as a JWC Member, you agree to be bound by the latest published version of these JWC T&Cs on the JWC Member Hub. 

B. MEMBERSHIP BENEFITS

  1. Subject to compliance with these T&Cs, JWC Members are entitled to: 

    • 8% Discount on red wine, white wine, rosé wine, dessert wine, sparkling wine, and champagne purchases at all FairPrice supermarkets, FairPrice Finest, FairPrice Xtra stores, and FairPrice Online. 

    • Discounts apply to the final prevailing price (including promotional prices, where applicable), unless explicitly stated otherwise. 

    • Priority invitations to JWC events (including wine-tasting sessions, pairing dinners, and private sales), subject to availability and event capacity. 

       

  2. Exclusions & Limitations

    • The JWC discount does not apply to wines sold and fulfilled by third-party Marketplace sellers through the JWC Member Hub.

    • Product availability, pricing, and promotions may vary across physical stores, online channels, and promotional periods.

    • Linkpoints under the Link Rewards Programme are earned based on the final net subtotal after all eligible discounts have been applied.

       

  3.  Events, Ticketing & Refund Policy

  • Ticket Non-Transferability & Guests: Event tickets are non-transferable and personal to the member. Members are generally permitted to register up to one (1) guest per event, though exact limits are dynamically set per event on the JWC Member Hub. Members are fully responsible for their guests' compliance with all event guidelines.
  • Member-Initiated Cancellations: All cancellations must be submitted directly by logging into the JWC Member Hub, selecting the registered event, and clicking Cancel Ticket.
    • More than 7 Days' Notice: Members who cancel more than seven (7) days prior to the event date will receive a 100% full refund.
    • 7 Days or Less Notice / No-Show: Cancellations made seven (7) days or less before the event, or failure to attend, are strictly non-refundable.
  • Organiser-Initiated Changes & Cancellations:
    • If an event is cancelled by FairPrice, registered members will automatically receive a 100% full refund.
    • Events will not be rescheduled with less than seven (7) days' notice. If an event is rescheduled with more than seven (7) days' notice, members unable to make the new date may request a 100% refund.
  • Refund Processing & Requests: Approved refunds are processed back to the original payment method within seven (7) – ten (10) business days, depending on your financial institution. 
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol: FairPrice strictly adheres to Responsible Service of Alcohol practices. We reserve the right to refuse admission, service, or remove any individual from an event or partnered venue (including The Grocer Bar) whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or excessively intoxicated.

     

C. VARIATIONS, SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

  1. Program Change: We reserve the right to modify, vary, suspend, or terminate the JWC Programme, in whole or in part which includes membership benefits, eligibility criteria, fees, and these T&Cs, at any time at our sole discretion. 

  2. Notice of Material Changes: We will use reasonable endeavors to notify JWC Members of material changes (such as fee adjustments or core benefit changes) via the JWC Member Hub or email. It remains the member’s responsibility to review these T&Cs periodically on the JWC Member Hub. Continued membership following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised T&Cs. 

  3.  Termination Rights: FairPrice reserves the right to suspend, terminate, or disable a JWC account without compensation if:

  • The JWC Programme is discontinued (subject to giving 7 days' advance notice via the JWC Member Hub or email);
  • Fraud, attempted fraud, or unauthorised account sharing is detected;
  • JWC benefits are used for commercial resale, corporate purchases, or business operations;
  • False, misleading, or inaccurate information was provided during registration;
  • We reasonably deem it necessary to comply with applicable laws, regulations, or compliance policies; or
  • A member breaches any provision of these JWC T&Cs or abuses JWC privileges.

  1. Clawback of Unearned Benefits: In the event of fraud, abuse, or unauthorised commercial use, FairPrice reserves the right to recover, claw back (including deducting or reversing earned Linkpoints), or charge the member an amount up to the full retail value of any discounts, event admissions, gifts, Linkpoints, or benefits improperly obtained. 

  2. Refund and Cancellation Policy: Refund eligibility upon cancellation depends on whether any JWC membership benefits have been utilised during your current membership term:

  • Definition of Benefit Utilisation: Membership benefits are deemed utilized once you have applied the 8% JWC discount to a purchase (in-store or online), registered for a JWC event, or attended a JWC event during the active membership term.
  • If No Benefits Have Been Utilised: You are eligible for a full refund of your membership fee upon cancellation. Once the refund is processed, your JWC membership and associated privileges will cease immediately.
  • If Any Benefits Have Been Utilised: No refund will be issued. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of your current membership term, and you will retain access to your JWC benefits until your term expires.
  1. Cancellations must be submitted via the JWC Member Hub or through FairPrice Group Customer Service hotline at 6380 5858 or here. Any requests for refunds remain subject to evaluation and approval by FairPrice at its sole discretion on a strict case-by-case basis. .  

  2. For the avoidance of doubt, cancellation or termination of your JWC membership will not result in an automatic termination of your FPG app account.

D. DATA PROTECTION

  1. Privacy Policy Compliance: The collection, use, and disclosure of your personal data are governed by the FairPrice Personal Data Protection Policy (“PDP Policy”), accessible on the JWC Member Hub. By joining the JWC Programme, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the PDP Policy. For enquiries, please contact our Data Protection Officer at dpo@fairprice.com.sg. 

  2. Purposes of Data Collection: 

We collect and process member data to:

  • Track purchase history and preferences to tailor product offerings and services;
  • Calculate and allocate member discounts and Linkpoints;
  • Send promotional updates, brand offerings, and event invitations; and
  • Fulfill any other purpose specified in the FairPrice PDP Policy.

  1. JWC Genie AI Assistant: When you interact with our AI assistant, JWC Genie, your data and chat history are used to personalise your experience and improve the wine recommendations you receive.

Your information is handled in accordance with the FairPrice PDP Policy. To deliver this service, your messages may be processed by our technology partners under strict confidentiality agreements and appropriate safeguards. We take reasonable operational and technical measures to ensure your information remains protected.

  1. Data Disclosure: 

We may share member data with:

  • Authorised affiliates, legal advisers, or third-party service providers administering the JWC Programme;

  • Regulatory, judicial, or law enforcement bodies where required by legal order or statutory obligation; and

  • Statisticians or researchers for aggregated analytics and reporting.

  1. Security & Updates: Members are responsible for maintaining accurate account information and keeping login credentials secure on the JWC Member Hub and FPG app. If you suspect your JWC account has been compromised, notify FairPrice Customer Service hotline immediately at 6380 5858 or here. 

 E. GENERAL PROVISIONS

  1. Finality of Decisions: FairPrice’s decision on all matters concerning the JWC Programme, benefit disputes, or event entry shall be final and binding. 

  2. Precedence: In the event of any conflict between these JWC T&Cs and any marketing, promotional, or brochure material, these T&Cs shall prevail. 

  3. Severability & Waiver: If any provision of these T&Cs is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. No failure or delay by FairPrice in enforcing a right shall constitute a legal waiver. 

  4. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution: These T&Cs are governed by the laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any disputes arising out of the JWC Programme shall be subject to the dispute resolution procedures set out in the main FPG T&Cs, which include submitting disputes to the Consumer Association of Singapore (CASE) for mediation prior to initiating formal legal proceedings. 

  5. Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, FairPrice’s maximum aggregate monetary liability for any claim arising out of or related to the JWC Programme shall not exceed the total value of the last membership fee paid by the member. Participation in JWC events and alcohol consumption at partnered venues are undertaken entirely at the member's own risk. 

  6. FairPrice shall not be liable if we are unable to perform our obligations under these T&Cs due to a Force Majeure Event. A 'Force Majeure Event' includes, but is not limited to, acts of God, public enemies, labour disputes, fires, riots, wars, embargoes, epidemics, pandemics or outbreak of communicable disease, floods, unusually severe weather, the failure of any computers, machines or communication systems, or any other events outside the reasonable control of FairPrice or its agents. In such events, FairPrice will use reasonable commercial efforts to mitigate the effect of the Force Majeure Event.

  7. In addition to other limitations and exclusions in these T&Cs, in no event will we or our directors, officers, employees, agents or other representatives be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any other damages of any kind, arising out of or related to JWC Programme. Our total liability, whether in contract, warranty, tort (including negligence) or otherwise, will not exceed the last membership fee you paid. These exclusions and limitations of liability will apply to the fullest extent permitted by law and will survive cancellation or termination of your JWC membership. You acknowledge that participation in JWC events and consumption of alcoholic beverages at The Grocer Bar or other partnered venues are undertaken entirely at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, FairPrice assumes no liability for any personal injury, property damage, or other loss arising from your attendance at JWC events, the consumption of alcohol, or interactions with third-party brand partners and vendors. Furthermore, FairPrice reserves the right to refuse service or entry without refund to any individual who appears intoxicated or violates Responsible Service of Alcohol practices.

  8. A person who is not a party to these T&Cs has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 2001 of Singapore to enforce any of these terms. 

  9. These JWC T&Cs are supplemental to the FPG Terms & Conditions. Matters not explicitly covered in these JWC T&Cs (including but not limited to intellectual property, general FPG account security, and website terms of use) shall be governed by the overarching FPG T&Cs. In the event of any inconsistency between these JWC T&Cs and the FPG T&Cs, these JWC T&Cs shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency strictly regarding the JWC Programme.
