Seniors, Pioneer/Merdeka Discount Schemes

  1. Eligibility & Discount Details
     
    • Senior citizens enjoy a 2% discount on eligible purchases.
    • Pioneer & Merdeka Generation cardholders enjoy a 3% discount on eligible purchases.
    • Pioneer Generation cardholders: Discount applies on Mondays.
    • Senior Citizens (aged 60 years and above): Discount applies on Tuesdays.
    • Pioneer & Merdeka Generation cardholders: Discount applies on Wednesdays.
    • Discount is capped at $200 total spend per customer per day. 
       
  2. Participating Platforms
    • Applicable on transactions made across:
      • FairPrice supermarkets (including Scan & Go, Self-Checkout, and cashier lanes)
      • Unity Pharmacy
         
  3. Redemption
    • Customers must present their physical or digital NRIC card or Pioneer Generation/Merdeka Generation card at checkout for in-store purchases.
    • Effective 1 September 2025, the auto-applied discount scheme will be subject to specific conditions. For auto-applied discounts, Senior citizens and Pioneer/Merdeka Generation cardholders must have successfully updated their profile using Myinfo on the FairPrice Group (FPG) app, with a ‘Last Verified Date’ on or after 22/05/2025.
    • The auto-applied discount scheme will be available at all participating FairPrice outlets and Unity stores, with the exception of Unity stores located at Changi Airport.
       

  4. Exclusions

     The discount is not applicable to the following:

    • Marketplace and direct fulfillment products on FairPrice Online (items sold and fulfilled by third-party seller partners)
    • Newspapers and magazines
    • Infant formula milk powder (0–12 months), per SIFECS guidelines
    • Tobacco products
    • Statutory items (eg 4D, Singapore Sweep, TOTO)
    • FairPrice Group Gift Cards / Gift Vouchers
    • Non-merchandise items (e.g. carrier bags), consultation, delivery and service fees
    • Donation products or bundles
    • Alcoholic beverages (eg. beer, wine, liquor, spirits)
       
  5. Linkpoints
     
    • Senior citizens and Pioneer/Merdeka Generation cardholders who are also Link members are eligible to earn Linkpoints.
    • Linkpoints are awarded based on the final transaction amount after any discounts have been applied

  6. Interpretation

    FairPrice reserves the right to amend, vary, or update these Terms and Conditions relating to the Pioneer, Senior, Merdeka Discount Schemes at its sole and absolute discretion, without prior notice. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency in the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, FairPrice’s determination shall be final and conclusive.
     

  7. Governing law and jurisdiction

    • This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore.

    • In the event of any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, the parties agree to submit the dispute to mediation administered by the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC”) under the SIAC Mediation Rules in force at the time of the dispute. The mediation shall take place in Singapore and be conducted in English.
